People have offered many potential explanations for this discrepancy, but this ad highlights the importance of the social cues that push girls away from math and science in their earliest childhood years.

Watch the powerful Verizon advertisement to really understand what a little girl hears when you tell her she’s pretty.

How to wear corsets as outerwear…

Chris Murry & Caroline Woollin

Gorgeous shot of a traditionally #victorian shaped #tightlacing #corset with contemporary embellishment. I love to see corsets worn as outer wear…maybe the #punk habit you never grow out of. My wardrobe is v traditional victorian with hints of #harajuku, #goth & #steampunk…but the beautiful contouring can make you look (and feel) like a princess even when you’re in jeans! That is the true magick of the sculpting effect of corsetry…the elegant lines and perfect posture can transform you outwardly…but the feeling of walking tall (with all eyes on your waist) is a great feeling. They call this trend to reestablish tightlacing for #waisttraining #bodymodification (along with #tattoos, #bodyart & #piercings)…it forms part of a growing trend I believe came from Japanese punk sub-subcultre genres. ‘The Modern Primitive’.

Lol. Long update…will blog this one!
